Вчера стартовал Тур Италии. Люблю шоссейные велогонки, особенно такие. Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana - три легендарные гонки. Эта Giro - 89я. Я болею за Ивана Бассо (см.фото), датская команда CSC.

09.05.2006 в 17:07Победа Стефана Шумахера (Gerolsteiner). Этап проходил под дождём. Отрыв из четырёх человек был ликвидирован на 160 километре. Петакки столкнулся с другим гонщиком, Дарио Сьони, повредил колено, и остаток этапа товарищи по команде буквально тащили его до финиша. Беттини очень рассчитывал на победу на этом этапе, но увы. По слухам он хочет перейти в T-Mobile, но на этом этапе произвести впечатление на возможных работодателей ему, к сожалению, не удалось.. Вторым на финише был Хосе Луис Рубейра (Discovery Channel), третьим - Давид Ребеллин (Gerolsteiner). А Стефан Шумахер сегодня надел розовую майку лидера гонки в общем зачёте. Завтра гонка вернётся из никогда не балующей хорошей погодой Бельгии на территорию Италии.

09.05.2006 в 18:14После вчерашнего падения Алессандро Петакки (Milram) покинул гонку.
Фото: Петакки после падения, левое колено разбито, доктор ещё не успел оказать ему первую помощь, рядом его "техничка" Milram.
В ближайшие дни ему сделают операцию на левом колене, после чего он пропустит также и Тур де Франс. Наряду с Петакки гонку покинули Кристоф Брандт (Davitamon Lotto), которого на вчерашнем этапе задел полицейский мотоцикл, протащив его байк около 20 метров, в результате чего гонщик получил серьёзную травму локтя. Гонку покинул также Леонардо Бертаньолли (Cofidis) из-за проблем с астмой, вызванной аллергией на пыльцу травы.
На данный момент пелотон догоняет отрыв - осталось 0:45 секунд до группы Ниерманна (Rabobank). Впереди работают команды Davitamon и Gerolsteiner, текущая скорость 53 км/ч. Очень скоро отрыв будет ликвидирован, погода улучшилась, ожидается финишный спринт, и где предполагаются Робби Макьюин (Davitamon Lotto) и Олаф Поллак (T-Mobile)

Вторая победа Робби Макьюина на этой Giro! Он буквально вырвал её у Паоло Беттини (Quick Step). Третьим был Альберто Лоддо (Selle Italia). Олаф Поллак - пятый.

11.05.2006 в 20:56Сегодня на Giro прошла командная гонка с раздельным стартом. Такого вида состязание в последний раз проводилось на Giro в 1989 году. И сегодня, после 17-летнего перерыва, Team Time Trial вернулась на Giro, и её выиграла моя любимая команда CSC!
T-Mobile уступила ей всего в 1 секунду!! А третьими, с отставанием в 39 секунд, были "отважные бойцы" из Discovery Channel, которых приехал морально поддерживать их недавний товарищ по команде, семикратный победитель Тур де Франс, великий Лэнс Армстронг)

13.05.2006 в 21:38Самый протяжённый на этой Giro этап выиграл атаковавший из отрыва за пять километов до финиша в Салтаре гонщик команды Cofidis Рик Вербрюге. Вторым и третьим финишировали победитель прошлогодней Giro Паоло Саволделли (Discovery Channel) и Лука Маццанти (Panaria), безуспешно контратаковавшие его на финише. Иван Бассо (CSC) прибыл на финиш шестым, чем остался доволен, считая этот этап удачнымдля себя. Розовая майка лидера гонки снова вернулась к Сергею Гончару, совершив на последних этапах небольшое перемещение внутри команды T-Mobile: Гончар-Поллак-Гончар. Также надо отметить, что на сегодняшнем этапе гонщики преодолели тяжелейшую вершину Монте Катриа, которую итальянцы называют ещё Пикколо Мортироло - подъём 15.87 км длиной, со средним уклоном 5.7 и максимальным уклоном 18%.

14.05.2006 в 23:44Восьмой этап, первый горный финиш - и первая победа Ивана Бассо на этой Giro! Иван Бассо (CSC), надевший после этого этапа розовую майку лидера гонки, большую часть финального 12-километрового подъёма на Пассо Лансьяно, средний уклон которого составляет 8.4, а максимальный - 12%, проделал вместе с товарищем по команде Карлосом Састре, после чего атаковал из небольшой лидирующей группы за 4 км до финиша. Он достиг вершины в Майеллетте с 30 секундами преимущества над своим соотечественником, итальянцем Дамиано Кунего (Lampre).
Третьим, ещё 30 секунд спустя, финишировал испанец Хосе Энрике Гутиэррез (Phonak), который теперь занимает 2 место в генеральной классификации, в 34 секундах позади Бассо. Кунего же обосновался на 3 месте, в 1:48 секундах от Бассо.
Основные соперники Ивана Бассо в генеральной классификации - победитель прошлогодней Giro Паоло Саволделли (Discovery Channel) и чемпион Про Тура 2005 Данило Ди Лука (Liquigas) финишировали в Майеллетте соответственно 15 и 8. И теперь Саволделли располгается на четвёртом месте в генерале, в 2:35 секундах позади Бассо, а Ди Лука - на шестом, в 2:48. Для него этот этап был домашним, и изначально Данило Ди Лука собирался на нём атаковать, так как досконально знает каждую горку и поворот на этой части трассы. Но после вчерашнего тяжёлого этапа он уже не был так уверен и предполагал атаку в зависимости от самочувствия. Самочувствие было, видимо, неважное, и домашний этап ему не удался, как планировался, но промежуточное шестое место в генерале - тоже не самый плохой результат.
Ещё сегодня утром обладавший розовой майкой лидера гонки Сергей Гончар (T-Mobile) финишировал 19-ым и теперь пятый в генерале (2:43), а двухкратный победитель Giro (2001 и 2003) Джилберто Симони (Saunier Duval) приехал на финиш седьмым, вместе с товарищем по команде Леонардо Пьеполи, в 1:15 от победителя этапа, и в генерале он тоже седьмой (3:20).

19.05.2006 в 07:18Вторую на этой Giro индивидуальную гонку с раздельным стартом выиграл немец Ян Ульрих (T-Mobile) - в прошлом вечный соперник Лэнса Армстронга, а теперь один из основных соперников Ивана Бассо в борьбе за победу на Тур де Франс 2006.

20.05.2006 в 20:5212 этап Giro выиграл испанец Джон Хоррак Рипполл (Caisse D'Epargne). Ему очень повезло, что двое гонщиков, Эмануэле Селла (Panaria) и Мануэле Мори (Saunier Duval), атаковавшие из маленькой лидирующей группы (6 человек) на спуске с Валико Гуаитарола за 15 км до финиша и создавшие 15-секундный отрыв, дважды(!) упали. Первое падение было примерно за 7 км до финиша, Селла упал на повороте, перелетев через насыпь, а Мори, увидев его падение, также не справился с поворотом и врезался в ограждение. Оба моментально вскочили обратно в седло, но время было упущено. А менее двух километров спустя гонщиков поджидало новое падение: Мори снова упал на повороте, чудом избежав столкновения с мотоциклом сопровождения, а Селла въехал в него. Гонщики боролись за то, чтобы остаться в лидирующей группе все последние пять километров до финиша, но у них уже не осталось сил усидеть за Эдди Энджелсом (Quick Step), когда тот атаковал. Правда, атаковал он преждевременно и был пойман Джоном Хорраком, завоевавшим свою первую победу на этапе Тура Италии.

20.05.2006 в 22:31Холодный и мокрый 13 этап Giro выиграл итальянец Леонардо Пьепполи (Saunier Duval), который уехал вместе с Иваном Бассо под дождём на тяжелейшем подъёме Колле Сан Карло (протяжённость подъёма 10.52 км, средний уклон 9.8, максимальный - 15%), и Бассо, не желая подвергать риску свою лидирующую позицию в генеральной классификации и осторожничая на спуске, позволил Пьепполи выиграть этот этап.

Робби Макьюин (Davitamon-Lotto) не вышел на старт 13 этапа, сославшись на проблемы с желудком, возникшие на пятничном этапе из Ливорно в Сестри Леванте. 33-летний австралиец одержал три победы на этой Giro - на финише в Шарлеруа (stage 2), Хоттоне (stage 4) и Форли (stage 6). А всего на счету гонщика 11 побед на этапах Тура Италии, начиная с 2002 года.
После 12 этапа гонку также покинул соотечественник Робби Макьюина, гонщик T-Mobile Михаэль Роджерс, который с понедельника жаловался на зубную боль, а в довершение этого у него случилось ещё и носовое кровотечение.

21.05.2006 в 22:28Luis Felipe Laverde won the 14th stage of the Tour of Italy after a long break-away on Sunday as Ivan Basso easily retained his pink jersey. Sandy Casar (Francaise des Jeux) rocketed into the sixth position by finishing in the break-away group, which beat the peloton by nearly eight minutes.
Giro d'Italia race leader Ivan Basso let some lesser known riders take the spotlight on Sunday's 220-km stage from Aosta to Domodossola and Colombia's Luis Felipe Laverde took full advantage.
The 25-year-old Panaria rider outsprinted Spain's Francisco Perez after the two jumped away from the decisive 11-rider break four kilometres from the end.
Italy's Paolo Tiralongo came in third, seven seconds behind. Basso finished in the main peloton, 7:44 behind Laverde but retained the overall lead at 3:27 ahead of Spain's Jose Gutierrez.
"I knew Basso and the other overall contenders would let a breakaway go clear and so I knew I had to get in it," said Laverde, recording the second stage win of his career.
"It wasn't easy to win because all the riders in the attack wanted to win but everything went my way. The break stayed clear, I got away with Perez in the final kilometres and then jumped away 100 metres from the finish."

22.05.2006 в 23:30Paolo Bettini claimed his first stage-win of the 2006 Giro, pipping Olaf Pollack by millimetres in yet another photo-finish mass sprint on Monday.
Looking to repeat as the Giro's points leader, Bettini's win was made easier by the absence of Alessandro Petacchi, Thomas Vaitkus and Robbie McEwen.
The Olympic champion had been foiled four times previously at this year's Tour of Italy, finishing third, fourth, and twice second in four mass sprints.
Davitamon's Robbie McEwen, who abandoned the race over the weekend due to stomach pains, won the first three of those sprints.
Vaitkus (AG2R) won the last Giro sprint-finish claiming Stage 9 literally milliseconds in front of Bettini, who actually raised his hands in the air in victory after the photo-finish, only to later be disappointed with news of Vaitkus' win.
The stage-win is Bettini's second career triumph in his home race.
Though for men rode in a break-away for nearly four hours, they were never able to take their lead above five minutes, and the flat 189-kilometre stage was destined for a sprint-finish.
Ivan Basso (CSC) finished with the peloton to easily retain his pink jersey and his strong three minute and 27 second lead over his next closest rival, Josй Enrique Gutierrez.
The Giro now moves into the Dolomite mountains before ending on Sunday in Milan.

"And I would like that stage to be Tuesday's, on the Bondone" concluded the overall leader.
The stage consists of the legendary climb up the Monte Bondone, an altitude of 1,650 metres and 17.5 kilometres long.
It is a climb that Charly Gaul (who passed away at the end of 2005) captured the cycling world 50 years ago in 1956 with an historic stage victory riding in near impossible weather conditions to claim the stage win - and the Giro.
Tuesday's stage could see the CSC team leader widen the gap at the top in the event of victory, almost to the point of no return for his closest rivals.
23.05.06 16 Rovato - Trento 180 km
CSC's Ivan Basso of Italy extended his overall race lead with victory in stage 16 of the Giro d'Italia from Rovato to Monte Bondone, near Trente, on Tuesday. Basso dominated the monumental climb to Bondone crossing the line one minute and 26 seconds ahead of compatriot Gilberto Simoni.
Italian Leonardo Piepoli of Saunier Duval and Spain's Jose Gutierrez (Phonak) were unable to keep up with the blistering pace set by Basso and Simoni in the final 15km and crossed the line together one minute and 37 seconds back.
Gutierrez retains second place in the overall standings five minutes and 24 seconds back.
2005 Giro winner Paolo Savoldelli came home in 12th position at three minutes and 27 seconds, which keeps him in third place in the overall classification trailing by nine minutes and 17 seconds.
Simoni held on in front of fans from his home region, despite a late burst by Gutierrez in the dying kilometres.
The Italian did enough to jump into fourth place in the overall standings and put the pressure on Savoldelli - who is now 17 seconds ahead.
Basso struck a heavy blow to Damiano Cunego (Lampre) and Danilo Di Luca (Liquigas) as both men suffered under the relentless determination of the CSC leader.
The result has put Cunego just under 14 minutes off the pace while Di Luca occupies tenth in the race for the maglia rosa, over 15 minutes back.

"In a Giro, we know that nobody is safe from a hiccup," concluded the CSC manager.
It's a short stage but the course will be a daunting endeavour for some riders due to its demanding climbs, including the climb up to Passo Delle Erbe (1,987 metres) and the awe-inspiring climb to the finish line at the Plan de Corones - 2,273 metres with the last 5km of the ascent carried out off piste over a non-asphalt surface.
The nature of the stage should produce, once again, some notable time differences, but despite being aware of the difficulty levels of the climbs ahead, Basso seems confident in himself and his CSC buddies.
"Am I afraid before the Plan de Corones?
"We are always slightly afraid before the major climbs, Plan de Corones, the Marmolada, San Pellegrino, Mortirollo...but I feel good and I have a great team with me" declared the CSC leader.
24.05.06 Stage 17 Termeno/Tramin - Plan de Corones/Kronplatz 133 km
Italy's Leonardo Piepoli of the Saunier Duval team won the 17th stage of the Giro d'Italia from Termeno to Passo di Furcia on Wednesday. Piepoli completed the shortened stage ahead of overall leader Ivan Basso and Spain's Jose Enrique Gutierrez of team Phonak.
Piepoli and Basso rode the final kilometre together after the tough conditions took its toll on the rest of the front runners.
Piepoli crossed the line in a time of three hours and 21 minutes and 26 seconds to claim his second stage victory of this year's Giro - he won stage 13.
Basso, who was on Piepoli's back wheel to the line, was not going to contest the final few metres and was content with second place clocking the same time.

26.05.2006 в 04:05A former Tour de France victor himself, who rode with seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong at US Postal Service, Riis knows a champion when he sees one.
According to Team CSC's website, Riis told Gazzetta Dello Sport that this year's Basso would have beaten last year's Lance Armstrong at the Grande Boucle, as proven by his dominance in the 2006 Tour of Italy.
"Basso is clearly the strongest rider this year in the Giro," Riis told the team website. "Basso is at the level you see at the Tour de France and it´s obvious the others are not."
Riis added that without a catastrophe, the pink jersey now belonged to Basso, who is planning on attempting a Tour-Giro double when the TDF begins in July.
"We are now in a very good position and only a crash or illness can stop Ivan from winning," Riis acknowledged the fact that Basso's Giro rivals already know all too well.
"Of course, we cannot let our guard down and we cannot celebrate anything until Milan. We saw what happened last year [Basso lost nearly an hour on one stage due to illness in the 2005 Giro] and we won't forget that."
After Basso's second victory in Stage 16, Riis praised his protégé's performance on Tuesday as historic.
"What Ivan did out there today will most likely pass over into history as one of the great stage wins in the Giro," Riis said after the win. "He proved that he's the strongest rider in the Giro and probably one of the greatest riders in the sport at the moment."
25.05.06 Stage 18 Sillian-Gemona del Friuli 210km
Stefan Schumacher (Gerolsteiner) claimed his second stage-win at this year's Giro D'Italia beating Marzio Bruseghin in a sprint on Thursday. The German wore the pink jersey for two days after winning Stage Three in the race's opening week.
Schumacher beat four breakaway rivals in a sprint finish to win Stage 18.
Italy's Ivan Basso finished in the main peloton, 2:43 behind Schumacher, but retained the overall race lead, 5:43 ahead of second-placed Jose Enrique Gutierrez of Spain.
Gerolsteiner rider Schumacher has won stage three in Namur in Belgium and worn the Giro leader's pink jersey for two days.
He hadGir to work hard in the breakaway that formed after 50 km of Thursday's 207-km stage and then controlled several attacks before beating Italy's Marzio Bruseghin to the line.
It was Schumacher's 11th win of his five-year career.
"This is my first major stage race but it's been incredible," he said.
"I've won two stages and worn the leader's pink jersey for two days. I couldn't ask for more.
"This stage was much harder than in Namur because it was a tough mountain stage. We rode very hard to get a gap on the peloton and then there were a lot of attacks in the final kilometres. Luckily things went my way."
The Giro now heads into the high mountains for the two decisive stages of this year's race.
Friday's 224-km 19th stage is from Pordenone to the summit of the Passo di San Pellegrino in the heart of the Dolomite mountains and includes three other major climbs.
Saturday's 211-km 20th stage from Trento to Aprica goes over the 2,618 metre high Passo di Gavia, the highest climb in this year's Giro, and the steep Passo del Mortirolo.
"I've got a five-minute lead but I'm worried about these final two mountain stages," race leader Basso told reporters.
"I hope I'm as strong as I've been in the last two weeks so that I can respond to any attacks from my rivals."

With Ivan Basso firmly in control of the pink jersey, the fight for the podium takes to the mountains on Friday.
The first challenge of the 224-kilometre trip from Porenone to the Passo di San Pellegrino (18.5-km long, average gradient 6.2%, max. gradient 15%) comes only 89-km into this race with the Forcella Staulanza (12.5-km long, average gradient 6.8%, max. gradient 11%).
But the race becomes really tricky midway through with two enormous summits within 30-km of each other, the Passo Fedaia (13.4-km long, average gradient 7.9%, max. gradient 18%) and the Passo Pordoi (11.8-km long, average gradient 6.6%, max. gradient 10%).
After conquering the San Pelligrino Juan Manuel Garate was handed a stage-win in the Giro D'Italia on Friday by a generous Jens Voigt. Ivan Basso once again performed brilliantly in the mountains to maintain his overall lead, as Gilberto Simoni stayed with Basso to solidify his podium position.

Spain's Juan Manuel Garate publicly thanked breakaway companion Jens Voigt of Germany for letting him win the 19th stage of the Giro d'Italia on Friday.
Voigt did not work during the 153-km breakaway that characterised the 221-km mountain stage to the top of the Passo di San Pellegrino because he rides for the same team as overall race leader Ivan Basso and so sportingly waved Garate ahead in the final 200 metres and accepted second place.
"I'll never forget what Voigt did for me and one day I'll pay him back," Garate told reporters.
"He saw the great work I and my Quick Step team mates did early in the stage and sat behind us in the break. Near the finish he told me he didn't deserve to win and said he wasn't going to sprint to the line.
"What he did proves he is a great champion and great person and his gesture showed the nice side of our sport."
Voigt has won 43 races during his 10-year career but gracefully accepted second place.
"I didn't deserve to win because I sat behind the other riders during the stage and didn't do my share of the work," he said.
"I know I missed out on a prestigious victory but I'm happy that Garate won. He deserved it."
Garate, whose wife is pregnant with their first child, rubbed his stomach, as if caressing a baby, when he crossed the finishing line.
Race leader Basso also celebrated fatherhood on Friday after his wife gave birth to their second child in Milan before the start of the stage. Basso, who wore a special blue ribbon on his race leader's jersey, finished eighth on the stage, 2:15 adrift.
"It was a very emotional day for me and obviously cycling comes second in moments like these. The birth of my son was much more important than the stage of the Giro," he told reporters.
Basso now leads Spain's Jose Gutierrez of the Phonak team by 6:07 with Italy's Gilberto Simoni third at 10:34.
The 28-year-old Team CSC rider faces one more mountain stage on Saturday and the final flat stage to Milan on Sunday before being crowned winner of the 2006 Giro.
Saturday's 211-km 20th stage is from Trento to Aprica and includes the Passo di Gavia and the Passo del Mortirolo.

The CSC team-leader increased his already insurmountable lead to more than six- minutes over his nearest rival Jose Enrique Gutierrez during the Stage 19 trek through the Dolomites.
Basso still has two days left to ride before he can fully enjoy the addition to his family, however, and several riders are still looking for a final stage-win to top-off this year's race.
With the gigantic Passo di Gavia (16.5-km long, 8% average gradient, 16% max. gradient) midway through, and the Passo de Mortirolo (12.8-km long, 10.3% average gradient, 18% max. gradient) coming 30 kilometres from the finish line, Simoni is primed for one more chance.
27.05.06 Stage 20 Trento-Aprica 211km
Ivan Basso stamped his authority on the 2006 Giro D'Italia by winning the race's penultimate stage and holding up a picture of his new-born son as he crossed the finish line on Saturday.
Gilberto Simoni, who stayed with the race leader through the day's major climbs, lost touch in the final five kilometres to finish one minute and 17 seconds behind Basso.
Simoni hung with Basso up the monstrous Mortirolo (12.8-km long, 10.3% average gradient, 18% max. gradient), as the rest of the top climbers struggled to keep in touch.
Though it looked like they were working as a team for the final stretch of the 20th Stage of the Tour of Italy, Basso shed Simoni on the final ascent to the finish line with just three kilometres left to ride.
The CSC leader then symbolically dedicated the race to his newborn son Santiago, throwing his hands in the air with a photograph of his baby, who was born a day prior.
The win was Basso's third stage-victory at this year's Giro, and it extended his overall race lead to nine minutes and 18 seconds over Jose Enrique Gutierrez.
Gutierrez finished in fourth place with 2004 winner Damiano Cunego 2:51 behind Basso.
Cunego moved from fifth to fourth position in the G.C., switching positions with defending champion Paolo Savoldelli, who struggled on the days two big climbs, the Mortirolo and the Passo di Gavia (the highest climb of the 2006 Giro).
For Basso, the 2005 Tour de France runner-up, the victory was one final show of dominance in a race he has controlled since winning the first mountain stage Civitanova Marche - Maielletta (171 km) two weeks ago.
He has not relinquished the pink leader's jersey since.
